A complete HR policy overhaul and new employee handbook
The Challenge
A growing business whose HR policies and documentation had been built up piecemeal over time. They were inconsistent, outdated in places, and there was no single source employees could turn to for clear guidance.
As the business grew, the gaps in its HR documentation became harder to ignore. Policies existed in different formats, some hadn’t been reviewed in years, and there was no employee handbook pulling everything together. This left both the business and its people without a clear, consistent reference point, creating risk around compliance and inconsistency in how policies were applied.
The Approach
Reviewed all existing HR policies and documentation from the ground up, identifying gaps, outdated content, and inconsistencies
Rewrote and updated policies to reflect current legislation and best practice
Designed and wrote a brand-new employee handbook, bringing every policy together into a single, clear, on-brand document
Structured the handbook for usability, so employees could easily find the guidance relevant to them
Professionalised the presentation of all HR documentation, giving the business a consistent, polished set of materials to issue to employees
The Outcome
The business moved from a fragmented set of ad hoc policies to a single, comprehensive, up to date employee handbook, giving employees clarity and the business a solid, compliant foundation for how it manages its people going forward.
